Group 1 :
1. unilateral or bilateral lymphoedema after inguinal or pelvic lymphadenectomy
2. lymphoedema after radiation treatment of the groin area
3. hereditary chronic primary lymphedema
4. congenital vascular malformation.
Group 2 :
1. prevention of recurrent venous ulcers in cases of chronic venous insufficiency
2. presence of an identified deep vein thrombosis
3. presence of an objective post-thrombotic syndrome.
🩺 For group 1 pathologies, a prescription from a specialist doctor in surgery, internal medicine, geriatrics, gynaecology-obstetrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiotherapy-oncology, paediatrics, dermatology-venereology, or medical oncology is required for the first time. Renewal can be prescribed by a general practitioner..
For group 2 pathologies, a prescription from a general practitioner is sufficient. Reimbursement only occurs from compression class 3, except for those under 15 years old, where class 2 can also be used..
For group 1: Per calendar year, a maximum of 4 stockings per treated leg. For group 2: Per calendar year, a maximum of 2 stockings per treated leg.

You can have them in prefabricated or custom-made options; for group 2, prefabricated ones often yield good results, but for issues related to oedema, it would be better to work with custom-made solutions.
